Encrypting/password-protection for zip files in OSX
In Terminal:
zip -re archive_name.zip directory_name/
Enter Password: ********
- Zip file can be opened with Windows; files in the directory will be viewable, but can’t be opened without a password.
- Zip file can be opened with OSX, but not natively (Leopard/Snow Leopard). Use StuffIt.
